About Us
Launched in 2023, Tartan Insurance Partners was created to provide a boutique agency experience for our partners, which include clients, teammates, insurance companies and third-party resources. Like our namesake pattern, our significance relies on the proper blending of these partners. Working together in a principled manner, we will create a strong symbol of kinship, shared motivations, and accountability to each other. Much like the Tartan of Scottish lore.
Tartan Trademarks
The Tartan Insurance Team lives by a set of behaviors, our “trademarks”. We rally behind these behaviors as a way of life. They will become synonymous with who we are and they will help guide our actions, whether mundane or monumental.

Do what you say you will do, when you say you will do it. Stay true to your word to establish trust with those around you.
Operate under the expectation of initiative. You are on the team because we believe in you and your judgment. Thoughtful action is preferred versus over-analysis. Ask for help if needed and make it happen!
Set, measure, and track your goals. Hold yourself accountable for achieving them. Having a positive attitude and putting forth your best effort is appreciated. Delivering results is rewarded and celebrated.
Expect the very best effort from yourself and your teammates. We can't control outcomes, but we can control our attitude and effort.
In all situations, do what is best for our clients.
The world is full of excuses and roadblocks. Be the person who takes pride in finding the solution.
Be mindful of acronyms, industry jargon, and "common knowledge". Communicate thoroughly, and plainly, and help clients understand the insurance product and process.
Get it right, without having to be right. Solve problems without seeking credit. Practice blameless problem-solving.
Whether it's final completion, or a communicated decision to discontinue, always bring closure. Make sure to be thoughtful about what projects or initiatives are undertaken to enhance your ability to finish what you've started.
Too often, our world is automated and impersonal. Look for, and listen for, ways to connect on a personal level. Take a genuine interest in the lives and the goals of our clients.
We spend a large portion of our time at work; it would be a shame to not have fun while doing it. We can respect that our work is important to us and our clients and still keep a healthy perspective. Laugh, smile, don't take yourself too seriously, and remember to have fun!
Communication is important in our lives. Listening is critical. Approach every interaction from a position of curiousity. Seek to understand the perspective of clients, teammates, and partners, before adding your point to the discussion.
It's hard to do you best for your family, your clients, or you team if you haven't taken care of yourself. Keep a healthy perspective, know when to ask for help, and strive for a healthy lifestyle. Be good to yourself, so you can be good to others!
Present your best self in every situation. Whether facing adversity, reveling in success, or simply going about your day, make each moment the best it can be.
It's easy to look past accomplishments as "part of the job". Whether its "winning the moment" with a difficult challenge, or accomplishing a major goal, look for ways to celebrate success together.
